OUR STORY

FROM FIRE STATION SOUND B.C. TO SALVATION SOUND

The Salvation Sound journey began in Harare, Zimbabwe in 1999 B.C with friendship, music and shared passion for bringing people together through sound.

1999 — THE BEGINNING

Salvation Sound’s roots began in 1999 as Fire Station Sound B.C.

The original crew included Makaveli, also known as Munya; The Founder of the crew General Diesel now know as DJ Tinashe; the late Billy Ranks, also known as Sebo; Junior D, also known as Mateo; Sensei Bhebhe; and Natty Dread.

2010 — A NEW CHAPTER

In 2010, a new sound and identity were born.

General Diesel became DJ Tinashe When he was born again in Christ, beginning a new chapter that would carry the movement forward with renewed purpose and vision. Fire Station Sound has renamed in 2015 to Salvation Sound.

TODAY — THE MOVEMENT CONTINUES

As founder, DJ Tinashe continues to lead Salvation Sound.

Salvation Sound is a Christian music, media and entertainment ministry—producing Gospel mixtapes, livestreams, radio shows, events and faith-driven creative brands for audiences across Africa and worldwide.
